Guess what my horse was doing today?

Was driving up the drive way to see my horse tonight and he was standing in the stream which has formed a type of pool area and he was eating the leaves which were floating down in the stream. He was standing knee deep in cold water, waiting for leaves to float down. It was like he was fishing, he is an odd ball that boy.

(from what I could tell the leaves looked harmless mostly ash tree leaves)

Anybody else have a horse with a quirk or two?

If you fill stars water bucket up too high... he sticks his whole head in and blows bubbles... this means most of the water ends up on the other side of the bucket!
He also does the classic, drinking out of a running hose!

Wow, a horse that cold hoses its own legs?! How cool, I wish mine would do that

There was a spring in my old horses field adn all the other horses would drink from the stream, but she would go and stick her head right under at the source. Then when she had had enough she would churn up the water with her front legs, just in case any of the others wanted some

weve got a stream thru our fields and my coloured pony pretty much lives in there, eating things from the other side and just generally chilling. it gets quite deep at a point where it gathers and he loves to dig and splash in it

Well, Scooby would be perfectly horrified at all these watery antics! He absolutely refuses to walk through puddles, he will either sidestep them or catleap over them! Which is odd, as he has absolutely no problem with being bathed and hosed down. I think he just doesn't like getting his feathers muddy, bless the delicate little dear.

Haha that sounds like my boy! Funniest thing is he will happily jump into/out of water complexes but has a real problem with puddles, which i swear in his mind just shouldnt be there - as they obviously were not there before it rained!! Hehe, some horses are funny.

My horses newest trick is freeschool round the field when i try to catch him (no joke he freeschools perfectly does everything i ask - got bored of chasing him so decided to try a bit of freeschooling, save me riding! But just wont stand for me to catch him) but as soon as anyone else comes into the field to help me catch him he will trot straight up to them and stand there like -"see, im perfect, ignore what my mother says about me being a pain in the bum to catch!"... coh horses
