Are you missing any small children off your yard?

Is it a gelding/stalion with a very big swelling to the tummy (sorry not very good with medical terms) but we are meant to believe that its prob a pregnant mare due to the pink headcollar its wearing to throw us off the scent???

Looks like it has good feet though.

I reckon the pony has swallowed J-Lo (jennifer lopez in case anyone on here has the screen name J-Lo!) judging by that lovely rounded derriere!

Nice try everyone - loved the missing child one!

I've had my little black Molly since January, following the desperate plea that went out on the Forum about the Christmas Day rescue ponies. She looked like a greyhound when she came but after 5 months of tlc and Dr Green, her mummy-tummy grew so humungus that I thought she was in foal. Blood test - fat not foal. She's only 9hh so I can't ride her but she was being lunged or walked in hand every day and STILL got fatter and fatter. Sadly, there are no other neds at my yard that need summer restricted grazing so to save Molly from laminitis she's now stabled 23 hours out of 24. I feel like a criminal. She's coping amazingly well but only because there are 2 other horses on box rest in the barn stables with her, so she has company. But this could change any minute and I don't want Molls to go back to having the haunted look that she arrrived with. So for the last few weeks I've been trying to find another tiny rescue pony to be a companion to her and to give a happy home to in its own right. But they're like gold dust. Couldn't find a little Molly-sized rescue pony anywhere. Then on Tuesday I heard back from a local sanctuary, Lluest Horse and Pony Trust. They thought they had the perfect pony for me: and that's the little lass in the pic. SOOOOO excited! Her name is Lady and her mummy tummy is exactly like Molls, her apple bum is exactly like Molls, she's 16yrs old exactly like Molls. The only difference is Molls is 9hh and Lady is 7.2hh. Honest to god I've had hamsters bigger than that! Anyway, I have a home visit next Tuesday to make sure I am a worthy owner and then (1) Molly gets to meet Lady, (2) I get to develop bigger mucking out muscles and (3) another stable is freed up at Lluest for the next emergency pony admission. Keep your fingers crossed for Tuesday everyone x

Bit similar to the belly on this one!!

He's not out grazing in this grassy field either - just on a jaunt, and fancied a roll.

Only way of keeping the weight down. Ride and lead.... let him off, and then run away!!

:o)

Good luck with your new pone. Mine is naughty.... but nice!!

A ventral odema??? Whats one of them?? i know odema is now - learnt that while i was preggerz, thats swelling.... but Ventral??
i have no idea what that is btw.

Ventral means underneath, near the abdomen. As opposed to dorsal, which means along the back, near the spine (if applicable). Hence dorsal stripe on some horses!!!
