Bless him so helpful
I hope it all goes really well for you. He certainly fell on his feet lucky boy.
So glad you are pleased with him and he's settling well. Are you absolutely sure he's 6? He really does look closer to 3 - more so in the PG pics.
Seems the feeling's mutual though and he's got a soft spot for you too.
Will look forward to updates and improvements now he's in better fitting tack - are you going to scope for ulcers? He could not have shown you more pain indicators if he tried in the vid you posted from initial viewing. Shame that the general opinion was that he was 'trying it on'![]()
he looks like a cutie
did you sell your little coloured pony then?
I didnt comment on your other thread and probably shouldnt comment on this one, but my once silent opinion remains the same in that I would have had to have been paid a considerable sum to take this horse away. I too am a sucker for greys but this one isnt worth meat money (IMO). I do credit your stickability and unflappable nature and to save the poor mite from being shot, you have jumped in feet first and taken him on. My hat is off to you Becxy, I look forward to following your progress and being prooved untterly wrong. Best of luck
In the video that I watched, yourself and the onlookers were excusing willful and stubborn (presuming the horse isnt in pain) behaviour as having a fly on his tummy, the horse is 6 years old and doesnt appear to be established or broken correctly (again IMO) or in acceptance of aids/seat/surroundings. Video showed him napping and doing everything he knows how to remove his rider, not the temperament that I would pay money for that is for certain. He is very poor which I understand willl only be temporary with good grub and decent turn out but again adding to the reason why I wouldnt pay money for him. If you can turn around all of those evasions I will eat my words, hence the good luck and best wishes for you. You look more than capable of realising that he needs taking right back to basics, so as I say... very best of luck and keep us posted.
