When i first got gypsy i was told that she should be put to sleep, she was evil, she would never amount to anything. Ok it was by a woman who wanted to buy her but couldnt afford to.

When i first got her she would rear up, stand at the back of the stable, shake if i dare go near her. She seemed the impossible.

Just want to show yous an update, its to inspire those who think that they will never get anywhere with their horse, even when things got tough with her, we ploughed on. Now she follows me like a puppy, it no longer takes 30 minutes to put a headcollar on and she gets excited when she sees me.

Gypsy was broke when i got her, but she didnt trust anyone near her. She accepted the bit and saddle, but if you dare mount her, she would charge, rear, buck etc. She was sooo badly done to, she was covered in whip marks, burns and she hated having anyone around. Shes still scared a bit of men, but she no longer acts the way she does.

These photos fill me with pride.

No longer the mad horse!

Thank you, shes only 4 and had such a rough life, shes must have had 5-6 different homes, past from dealer to dealer. I knew the man that bred her, he is a traveller. She was sold at 5 months and has past hands since. When i heard her up for sale again, i had to buy her.

Shes the only one ive bought out of pity, i have seen her rode before, thats how i knew she was broke. When i seen her my heart sank, she was a state.

She will be with me for life, i can guarantee that. Shes had enough chopping and changing homes

Well done you! It is so nice to see such patience, time and kindness shown to a horse...that has obviously paid off.

Well done! I hope she continues to make progress. She's looking lovely.

Its funny but when you have a horse that has been badly treated and you break through the fear and they learn to trust you the bond is very strong and they will often do anything for you in the end.
