Left my copy of H&H on the table t'other night and my flatmate saw it and said "is this yours? Isnt this all pro hunting etc etc" And proceeding to LECTURE me on politics followed by hunting. After which she asked "you dont support hunting do you?"
Regardless of whether i do or dont (Havent had chance to hunt yet myself but would defo give a go) who is she to bark on like that! Have your opinion yes but i didnt get a chance to get a word in!

Am going to tell her tonight I would like to buy fur coat and pin a poster of David Cameron (she is very labour orientated and vocal about this too) up on the wall mwah haha

I had a subscription while I was at uni (pressie from lovely mum who knew I'd be a bit horsey deprived!) and apparently housemates had made a few comments to each other but nothing to me. Until end of the year when one had looked at the cover and said oh I didn't realise it wasn't all hunting, I explained it was mostly reports.

You guys are good, she is indeed veggie! Can understand why being veggie it's not her thing but she knows nothing about the sport and cannot even back up her arguements! Is bloody tree hugger!
Told her she should have done her research before inviting a meat eating h&h Reading rider into the flat!
Could go on with this issue but it'd get boring Nd even more rant-esq!

she's entitled to her opinion... just maybe she needs to be more tactful/less vocal... ?

Agree with all above, she is entitled to her opinion as is everyone

but should be less pushy and vocal about a sport in which she has done no research

Reminds me of the quip when a very anti-hunting person asked one lady about the fur collar she was wearing!!! It was quite old, but the anti said

"do you know something died so you could wear that??!!!"

to which the lady replied:

"yes, I know, my Mother-In-Law!!!"

BRILLIAnt!

Sorry Persephone - not all vegetarians bad just this one!

I am anti hunting but I have a subscription - I really don't think people realise quite how much other stuff is in there. Where else do you get such good reports?

Oh and I don't inflict my views regarding hunting upon anyone else either

but im going hunting tomorrow for the first time. I didn't really used to like the idea of hunting but everyone on my old yard did it and i didn't go off on one at them each to their own

Not being very tactful I would have said a very firm yes, lol!

Reminds me of my fresher's week (way back in 2000) when I was wandering around the stalls wearing multi coloured flares and an afghan coat (I know, I know, but I was going for a retro 70s looks

) when a young man approached me to try and get me to join the New Labour group. I informed him that New Labour would be the downfall of this country and I was a Plaid supporter. What followed was:

Him 'Well, I suppose you support hunting too, then?'
Me: 'Yes, I hunt with the Monmouth, actually'
Him '...'
Me: PMSL!
