Haas brushes...I guess you could say he's kind of shiny!

I bought my Haas brushes from Polished Ponies who I think are slightly cheaper and their service is excellent.
Me too. I'd also rather deal with nice peeps, I'm funny like that :rolleyes3:.

Eqclusive are rather dramatic and pushy. They have the following statement on their FB page, which may or may not be true.

'Please also note, Eqclusive is the only authorised distributor of HAAS products in the UK. Eqclusive has authorised re-sellers who are listed below. Any HAAS products bought outside of this list is unauthorised and not protected by the manufacturers guarantee. Authorised HAAS stockists:' where they go on to list a few retailers.

They also reckon that they are patenting the Haas brush sets, though how you can patent a collection of brushes which are freely available elsewhere, I don't understand.

I looked there for comparison purposes and it would cost me the same for 4 brushes instead of 6 in the pack I got. Of course it was a special offer but then I very rarely buy things unless they are. I also looked at athleteshoponline but so much is out of stock.

I had a look at the discussion on facebook where they publicised they were selling off the old sets and they seemed helpful and not pushy. One person was asking about several horses and rather than push extra brushes they suggested they start with the special offer pack and not buy anything extra at this stage but come back if they liked the initial brushes. The person who was asking could very easily have been pushed into buying extra.

Of course it could still all go wrong and I get the wrong thing and they are less than helpful in resolving, sometimes you don't know what a company is like until something goes wrong but so far they've actually been good to deal with and helpful sending follow up email and fb messages to let me know what stage my order is at and if they can help.

Considering treating Share Horse to one as her *whispers word as it's too soon* Xmas prezzie.

Not sure I believe the hype about certain brushes for certain colours but she's a dark bay and I'd like something to help as we recently moved to a yard with a sand school and the sand seems lodged in her coat making her dusty!

Would the schmimmel (sp?) Be best for this?

My goats hair brush *(though not as posh as Kat's) is the one I mentioned that is so soft it does nothing though the tb likes it as it is so soft. Now it's a few years old the hairs are starting to come out so it actually makes things worse.

Not that I'm trying to lead anyone astray but the link for the discounted old pack. No standard left, only deluxe or royal

Well you have just led me astray with that link ^^, I have just spent a fortune but I do get 10% off my next order :)
Oh boy I can save money if I order some more with a code they sent me and press the link again, that will teach me to have to stay in and wait for the carpet fitter

Well they've arrived so I'll take them up today and see how I get on.

It's a perfect time to try as horses are at that between coat stage with the start of winter fluffiness and are going out naked still as they're not clipped yet and weather has been mild. They are at their least shiny.

The first two brushes are stiffer than my current body brushes (acceptable) but not as stiff as Dandy Brushes (unacceptable) so maybe Mr sensitive will like them. Or maybe not and he will expect me to gently stroke him with the Diva making no different to the mud.

I told Eqclusive that I had seen them for a better price elsewhere and I wanted them to match the price (as I was buying in person and not online), they said the brushes wouldn't be covered under the manufacturer's guarantee if I bought them elsewhere, which I said was ridiculous and I didn't give a stuff about a guarantee. I didn't think they were great customer service wise, but they did give in and sell me the brushes for the lower price so I can't complain.

My brushes are apparently on their way, I only ordered a little while ago, tomorrow they say by Parcelforce but I should imagine that will be Monday

I've no idea about the ins and outs of faceache, as it is and will remain a foreign world to me, I just buy something, pay by paypal and expect it to arrive, I have a total addiction to brushes or anything related to grooming for some unknown reason.......

I love these brushed! I was very skeptical brushes could make that much of a difference but they really do. They are superb quality, lovely to hold and use and they do make my coloured really shine. I got the grey pack as she is more white than brown!
