Haas brushes recommendations

After a year of veterinary issues with my horse I am wanting to treat myself/him to some nice brushes - just to give me a boost!

Can any Haas brushes owners recommend their favourites? Or any other nice brushes? I could afford 2 or 3 so want to make sure I get the right ones. Horse is bay if that helps

As I have different coloured horses I tried to go for a couple of the generic ones which seemed to be in most packs etc. I have the wool centred one which is good for a final shine flick over and they love it on their faces (not sure if does much other than shine them a bit). And I got the lippizzaner one which is basically like a stronger bristled body brush (feels more like a dandy brush). They're ok and I use them quite regularly but to be honest, I still reach for my bog standard cheapo body and dandy brushes just as often. I dont think they're worth the hype.

I like the schimmel - it's good for getting mud off, and the horse loves it

i also have the schimmel which all except my very fine skinned TB have liked. does a good job and is comfortable to use.
i like the plastic curry combs for knocking the biggest clods of mud off easily and also cleaning other brushes
I have a non-Haas similar design bodybrush which is softer bristles with a recessed layer which is good for getting dust out of summer coats, those 3 brushes are all i use really.

I’ve got the chestnut set. I really like their curry comb. Mine doesn’t like traditional curry combs but really likes the Haas one

I have the light bay pack. There are 2 stiffer brushes, the cavaliere and military and i tend to use these interchangeably so if i was saving money would go for one not both.

Then there's the gloss/feligantz which I use all the time on summer coat, clipped coat and unclipped after the mud is off. It's the only thing the tb allows on his head.

The diva is the lambswool polisher which is nice but a final polish if I'm making an effort.

The currycomb is an essential for me and doesn't cost much, it gets mud off as well as cleaning other brushes and is tolerated by my horse.

A friend had the Schimmel as part of the grey pack and while effective is much too harsh for a thin skinned, sensitive horse.

So I would start with the gloss, a stiffer brush and the currycomb as essentials and add from there.

I’ve got the chestnut pack which includes the military, cavalière, fellglanzbürste (coat gloss) and the diva exklusiv. The one I use most is the military, which is great for getting off mud, and then probs the fellglanzbürste for the face! The diva one is the most fun, it’s the soft one.

I thought I’d never use them except for shows, etc, but I use them nearly every day!

The Fellglanzbürste is a must .

Superb for adding day to day shine and quarter marks.

I have 3 and highly rate them all - the only one I can remember the name of is the military and it's removed any needs for a 'stiff' brush which my horse disliked - it looks to all purposes like a normal body brush but I think the bristles are so densely packed it does a fantastic job of removing grot.

I have the chestnut set and my mum has the dark bay set. Couldn't tell you thr brush names but they all do a good job.

Huge fan of their curry combs and mane & tail brushes though. I've found them etter than any other I've had.

I use the Parcour, the Lipizzaner and the Fellglanzbürste on my basically-black-ish. The rubber curry comb doesn't really work for getting the mud off mine - and she much prefers a magic brush - but it's far better at cleaning the brushes than my metal curry comb. I'll occasionally use the brush with the very soft centre if we're going showing or something, but she comes up pretty shiny with just the 'basic' three.

If you have a hairy / muddy beastie, the Mustang brush is amazing. It has brass bristles interspersed through the normal bristles.
