County show today, Holding a 4 yr old that OH rode(not ours) after its class (came 3rd, first ever show) and it kicked me in the chest. And the leg.
Not nice.
The moral of the story is: Only do your own horses.
Not a happy Cuppatea now.

everyone kept saying to have a hot bath soak....but our bath isnt plumbed in! :(
Fish n chips has helped but i need a sackfull of marshmallows to really help!
Dreading waking up tomorrow.....

Wow, you poor thing. How on earth did it get you in the chest?

TBH im not entirely sure! Didnt see it coming sodont know what went where. Got my leg too which has swllen up a bit and really tight muscle (and for someone who doesnt bruise ever there are actual marks there too!) so ive been walking like a cripple too.
Can someone remind me why i have to work with horses?!

Firstly: have lots of sympathy :)
And secondly: I've been kicked by my own & other people's horses; which one it was had no effect on how I felt about the pain ;)
And finally: your life wouldn't be the same without them & you know it :D You'll forget about it when the pain goes! :) xxx

((((((((((OUCH))))))))))

Arnica may help, hope you are ok this morning.

Shedloads of virtual marshmallows on their way to you. Hope OH buys you some real ones too.

Mum bought just about every type of arnica for me to use and OH got me some marshmallows so things are looking up!!!
Apart from the bit when OH told me to go help the girl unload all the shavings from the delivery van.....

Now now shysmum, cuppatea's already got a bruise in the chest and leg, she doesn't want another in her head...

:D

hahaha !! Well I know one shot knocks me out - so I can sleep through the pain.

Funnily enough, I have a black toenail today - why is it that you can never remember how these things happened ? Like my famous hematoma - even the doctor congratulated me on the size of it, but I have no idea how I did it.

O dear hope your alright.

I had a nr miss yesterday at a show and the woman never said sorry, i was more bother about the small child that was about to be kick in the head.

Ouchy, a kick in the chest :eek:, could have been much nastier, hope you feel better soon, painkillers and arnica will be your friend, my girl is on restricted field and box rest, only in tiny 14x14 paddock or her box and getting out daily has kept her fairly sane, today she blew, leaping and twisting and booting out, all over in about 4- 5 seconds then she settled, she just skiffed my bum, sadly you werent as lucky :(

OUch!!!

How does a horse manage to kick you in the chest when you are holding it?
Front leg strike out with a half rear/jump up apparently!

If it's really bad I'd head straight for the Tequila myself..

ooh no! tequilla makes me throw up just smelling it! belly muscles are sore today so spewing is totally out of the question! Anything else recommended?

Ouch! I still have a hole in my thigh where a livery's pony kicked whilst I was tacking her up. I had to give the five year old daughter a lesson straight after which involved running around a course of 'jumps' and pretending she was in the Grand National. I still don't know how I managed it!
