Happy hack in the sun!

I rode out with a good friend today on one of her horses. The mare is by the same stallion as Rose, is beautifully schooled and although I've never ridden her, I've hacked Rose out with her on many occasions. It was just lovely and it made me feel so happy. She's quite like Rose but better with big traffic so I could relax, enjoy the ride and have a good natter and general catch up. She's only available once a week to me as she's stepping up to advanced but it was so nice to ride a fit, balanced horse again. It made me realise how much I miss riding, clearly I'm not quite ready to give up!

Thanks for a positive hacking post.
We often see negative posts about traffic, cyclists, dogs, bulls etc etc encountered out hacking. I know these things happen.
But it is a good reminder that the majority of hacks are uneventful and a great experience.
