Well, the day started with me waking up every couple of hours feeling extremely worried about the funride. Terrified of him being a complete moron and me falling off and breaking something again :gasp:
I'm silly really because if i'd of fallen off and not broken anything i'd of got back on and thought nothing of it, but i guess you try and avoid that sort of pain and it does make me think 'what if'.
He loaded fine, straight on. Was super chilled out to be tacked up, as usual.
Set off, super chilled out... and that's really how it went!
I went with the same friend i'm doing the pairs hunter trial with next month, and asked her to give me a lead over the first line of fences, then immediately all my worries went away and on the second line i whizzed past and led
Then followed over the next few lines, and later on went down a line all on our own! Was so nice to feel him going FORWARD! We had such a good time, and honestly we get to the end of a canter, i sit back, he stops then walks on on the buckle!
I'm so glad nobody bought him, i know he has his downfalls (showjumping mostly!!!) but actually he was probably one of the best behaved horses there today. I also jumped the biggest photo jump, which doesn't look that big because they cut the jump out
So super happy, feeling very pleased that 4 months after having my leg pinned back together we're back whizzing over fences!
Me & my other friend (not the one doing the hunter trial) but our horses are pretty similar looking
Our pro pic! Very pleased
