Has anyone fed their dog Happy Tummy by http://www.finefettlefeed.com/products/

It says for horses and dogs (and oher companion animals!) and it sounds great, I just can't find any testimonials from dog owners, only horse owners.

I have an extremely thin working border collie, he will never be fat but he is way too thin. He has an extremely sensitive digestive system and has taken me nearly 4 months to get his stomach fairly good.

I had been recommended to feed him raw chicken to help build him up. It is minced raw chicken and he has had an explosive butt :( I would like to persevere with it to see if he would settle but as he has to be fit to work, its not possible :(

I have cut out the chicken and giving him a few days of pro-kolin to help settle him, then plan to put him on probiotics for a while to se if that helps.

It was the happy tummy I was considering or maybe Protexin Bio Premium. Anyone have any experience with either?

No experience with the products but you need to feed bone with his chicken to stop a explosive bottom.

I would actually look at switching to raw with him not supplementing.

Thanks for reply :)

The chicken we get is bones and everything! I actually thought it could have been the bone content upsetting his stomach :o

I do understand that raw feeding is best but just does not seem practical. He is kennelled at work and I am not always there to feed him (depending on which shifts we work).

I will however have a little look at the raw feeding sticky for more info, but my main concern is getting his stomach settled as it is affecting his work :(

I have to admit I am also worried about giving him a bone in case the greedy git chokes on it - he doesn't really chew food and often regurgitates and re eats it

Its probably not enough bone.

It will most likely help his stomach he probably has food sensitivities. You need to go 100% grain free at least.

If he has the correct sized bones it shouldn't be an issue its actually the main reason i started feeding raw was because my dog would bolt dog food and that is not good for them.

Upchuck and re-eating is normal.
