Yes out hunting, agree with AmyMay re trot.
Now, very rarely but horse tends to go into canter if he deems other horses are trotting too fast for him. Not ideal but preferable to him getting more panicked by being left behind. In reality, he could probably trot faster than his canter as it is very soft, if you get my meaning.
