Sounds like a good call if you need one that can trot around happily whilst you do the horses. My dog is a full time job at times (although an absolutely fantastic dog) and I have to completely divide my horse and dog life, which isn’t what I had wanted. I have my own yard so the right dog could have a great time up there with me. Clearly I created a lot of issues with my dog without knowing it and now am working my ass off to improve things. And the training process is slow, there is no switch I can flick to make him ok with things. So I’m always gradually building in challenges and proximity bit by bit. I think if you don’t have time or energy for that it’s the right thing to do to say so now. I only have time because I don’t do anything else, and I owe him because I’ve had him since 11 weeks, so I owe him for mistakes I have made.
