Oh I know what you mean, my cob is hogged and when I get on the Fjord (who has the biggest mane you have ever seen) I have to be very careful not to get handfuls of mane when I take up my reins.
Had a nice hour and half hack this afternoon but about half way round we came past a house where a drumset was being played very loud and Tia had a right paddy about it! Took her ages to chillout after.
Yes... I managed to get 3 out of 4 of mine out for a hack today and the one left is only 7 months old so she stayed in the stable.
Yesterday was the first time in 10 weeks we have been able to ride ( no menage and lane thick with ice)
Managed to hack out with the young section a Dudu ridden by my sister, i rode the young section D Denny, both were perfect and never put a foot wrong bless them.
However mum rode the old girl ( now 28 yrs) and she behaved like a nutter!! spooking at everything and going sideways in canter down the road at one point... and she was supposed to be the quiet lead horse for the youngsters!!
Teresa.
NO!! i have some horrible bug thing and feel truly awful and i know my mare would just take the p@ss and leave me with more problems when i feel better and my gelding although he is a saint is a million miles from the ground when you have no energy.
doctors tomorrow and there is plenty of other opportunities the ride my horrible lot
Yup but I cheated....was still feeling worse for wear after too much gin so decided to school...and since she's only a baby I'm keeping schooling to 10 - 15 mins....I think I managed 5, we had a sticky moment where we both lost our balance and she rushed off which made me go green so carried for a couple of minuets then finished on a good note. I was in a rush though as had to be home within an hour of getting there.
Hi Lucyfer from RoystonVasey,
I didn't ride today because OH + i set off to Wales for outing on the beach with the dogs, but then we needed fuel (fortunately), so stopped in garage not far from home. It was then that we smelt hot brakes.....+ saw smoke!!
So we took old jalopy home, took dogs for long walk locally, + retired to the local!! (Which is a local pub, for local people
. How is David these days?)
Hope all friends enjoy their riding next weekend, + roll on spring! All bests, BS x
