Hi,
I was chatting to a friend this morning whilst putting haynets up and to save time I put the filled one on the floor in front of me whilst I took the old one down.
My horse then proceeded to take the filled haynet and nuzzle it round the stable whilst pulling out small mouthfuls of haylege. She was having great fun.

Now before I get shot down- it was a tricklenet style haynet with absolutely no possibility of her getting her hooves caught up in it! :D

My friend suggested that I look into it as she then tried it with her horse and they loved it!

What does everyone think? My horse loved it and I think its a great idea - providing that the holes in the net/ball are small enough!

Mini eggs if you get down this far! X

I wouldn't risk it, small holes or not horses can do anything to damage themselves. Yesterday my stallion was amusing himself be keep squeezing under his and headbutting it into the air..then making a getaway before it came down again.

I think there is something similar in the form of a net 'pillow' out there but they are expensive

A ball would be great though
