We make our own hay from 2 acres of our 3 acre field. The pony summer grazes the other acre. Some of the hay we bring straight in to the 'little hay shed' and the rest we store in a hut in the field which has a badger sett underneath it. (A nursery sett so the badgers are not there until Jan or so when they start to dig it out again)
The pony eats the hay we store in the little shed but is very reluctant to eat the hay stored in the big shed. We brought a couple of bales up last week and opened one up for him but he is not keen. He leaves most of it. Do you think he is put off by the badger smell or is he just fussy?
