On Saturday I had a look round at our local tack shop (there was a sale, would have been rude not to :D) and there in the distance I spotted something twinkling at me.

It was only a rack of Schockemohle bridles (oh hell, don’t do it, look away now I thought) but there there were crystals, diamantes and patent leather all calling me, drawing me closer and closer and then there were voices, evil voices in my head chanting at me ''buy me… buy me, just think how good I’ll look on your horse’’

I drooled over them for about 10 minutes, then reality hit when I looked at the price tag of the one I really liked and I came back to earth with a whopping great thud, thankfully I didn’t have any spare notes knocking about in my moth eaten purse but if I had, oh if I had *dreams picturing it on Mr M* I wouldn’t of been able to resist temptation!!!

Sunday arrives, came back from my ride and because something had been irritating him (a tickle on his head or nose as he was shaking his head about on the way home, did give him the chance to rub his nose on his leg in case i was that but he declined) Jumped off when we got back and he made a B line for the brick wall where the yard gate is, so I let him have the pleasure of a rub while I opened the gate (rather than on me:rolleyes:), heard something grate on the wall  and there was a trickle of diamantes hanging in shreds on the chain from the brow band scatting in the stones with his forelock flicked up like Fragile Rock, bits of loose hair blowing in the breeze and a very relieved look on his face, yep he wrecked his bling.:(

Some how I really don’t think I’ll be saving up and purchasing the one I saw on Saturday, I’ll stick with peasant makes and prices.;)

Any suggestions on any nice quality leather black blingy bridles that won't break the bank that would suit my boy?

Could you not buy a lovely blingy browband to put on his "best" bridle?
Would save you a small fortune.....;)

Well he is due a new bridle, the one he has is arrrr.... errrr, well lets just say I had my rosey tinted glasses on and wasn't thinking straight when I bought it, but I did like it when I bought it :o:D Plus it could be tricky getting one that will fit my bridle, I'd rather just get a new bridle with one on if you see what I mean.

It was a black comfort bridle with with gold (brass) buckles and the browband was coloured diamantes in this gold chain with in the browband, cheap and cheerful and to be fair it has served him well for the price, think it was just a hydrophane one.:D

I bought a swarovski crystal one on ebay from a seller, it is STUNNING and there were lot's of colours at a really good price (I think I paid about 12 quid for it about 3 years ago). I still use it everyday on mister ned and it looks like new. I'll see if I can find the seller on ebay :)
