Head desk - someone stop me murdering my OH!!!

lol, ah okay.

It always amazes me at how ecen though sexuality doesnt bother me a bit (would love it if my son turned into kurt from glee) but how i assume everyone just to be straight until otherwise informed. its a huge character flaw i suppose.

Anyways, back to the thread.

Get a weimeraner!

Lol...tis ok I presume everyone's straight too :) I think it's more of a 'that's the most common' thing.

Oooooo I'd not thought of one of them!

or pointers... in fact, kitsune is trying to rehome a pointer cross in AAD now. have a look. pointers are gorge, ive always wanted one.

Well thank goodness you have explained A4, I was so shocked at the initial post I couldnt reply....'bloke? he? I could have sworn she was gay...wheres this bloke come from :confised:' Etc etc! :p :D
Anyway tell him to pull his socks up, what on earth kind of half bred freak would that be...and NOT cool on a shooting field! :D

Your OH needs a real dog to do this:

I refuse to get a Spangle.....unless you want to send me a ready prepared one! I'm not sure I'm brave enough for a puppy :p

I would like to teach the corgis to beat though ;)

(QUOTE=Annette4;)Ermmm......well.....it's a bit complicated but OH is technically a girl on his way to being a boy

I'm gay, other half is a male to female transgender....ie: living as a male but in the literal sense he has a female body and is in the process of transitioning physically too.

I am confused, (not difficult!) which way round is it?
Is he male to female or female to male?

Oz :)

I took a sausage dog and 2 JRT x staffies once! It was just an informal walkabout though. Everyone fell about laughing when we turned up, and admittedly a gun briefly thought my brown dog running loose back to my OH was a fox , but on the whole we earned a lot of new found respect :) We weren't asked back for a paid day though, funny that...

500 quid for a mongrel - he is having a giraffe!:eek::rolleyes:

No, he is having a puppy! :D

Annette4, can I ask why he wants his own dog now? Why doesn't he live with you and your 2 for a while first so he knows how much a dog requires day to day before commiting? As you say it will probably be left to you to look after anyway so you should have a say in the breed.

He may not even stick to the shooting or be invited to bring his dog with him.

Get them Corgis out beating/picking up - i'd pay good money to see Quila drag a pheassie that had longer legs than her! :D

LOL, we had a very small terrier on my old shoot and he was amazing in the beating line. the smaller dogs are great for sending in to tight bramble cover that the spans and labs struggle with.

And lets not forget Teckels and dacshunds. Small breeds used in the feild.

Indeed. It was a real reminder of his working roots to see mine in the field. I had been out with my OH for a walk around a few times before hand and he wasn't the slightest gun shy, he didn't even flinch 1st time. It was like he instinctively knew what he was wanted to do, got to a clump and wouldn't leave till the bird was sprung, tail wagging like a spaniel the whole time. I've never seen him so focused and enthusiastic, or his tail go like that :) He was good at pricked birds too but needed a long leash. With his nose, picking up & pricked birds shouldn't be a problem but I fear we would lack the discipline needed for a retrieve :D

The hound, looking like an athletic hunting machine - not lol.
