ty Got a call from the RVC to say his heart rate down and less reflux, and seemed more comfortable and I can go and see him.

Well I took my friend who knows him and we went to see him all was fine till...................................

He started to get uncomfortable again and we were told to leave .

Awww ? bless him, I remember my boy being like that too, all hooked up and muzzle on, think he hated that as he loves to eat.
The plus side is the less reflux! And heart rate down. That means you are heading in the right direction

RVC called n about 1 hr ago (unexpected) and I was on the phone nearly an hour , I did not expect another call after my last call at 5 ish.

She said he got uncomfortable earlier this evening so they gave him more pain killers, still reflux but lest than some horses who do 10 litres as my boy is doing 2 1/2. They are monitoring his heart and bloods and fluids, when she gave him the pain killer she said as she was talking to me he was just standing still which is good. They are due to give him the next Fynadine at midnight but will bring it nearer if he gets uncomfortable again..

I hope they don't call me in the night, as that will be a bad sign as maybe the surgical part of intestine is not happy as she calls it. I need some sleep.


They are hoping for less reflux which means less fluids need and he is keeping hydrated. So many things to watch out for, and just heard from my handyman, that he had a horse with twisted gut and they made him better and he came right.

We are hoping that the gut might start moving again but its only been a short time since surgery and the gut needs to try to be in a better state, So unless I get a call in the night It will be tomorrow when the next update. as I will be too tired to update during the night.
If she calls me during the night.

I so know what you are going through. I went through very similar in 2014 with a young horse. I do hope he pulls through and very sorry about your mum , glad the funeral went well. x

Had a call from RVC. His only chance is 2nd surgery so that is where he is now.

They called again and said slim chance but I said I need to give him a chance.

Its like 2012 - 2015 all over again

2012 lost My boys mum and my little Kassie cat
2013 My broken humerus and parents near fatal accident
2014 lost my father lost my beloved dog
2015 lost my donkey and lost my "Micheline" cat
Now 2022 I lost my mum and most likely my boy.

Can't eat now till I hear something.
Life is cruel - life is precious - life is so short - the memories are long - the heart brake stays for ever.


Such a slim chance but i gave it to him - cost a lot but that what he means to me the WORLD, neve again will his Palomino head stick out his window at the back, look out for me at breakfast, or keep his girly herd and mate in check, they will lose their leader.
