Healing Vibes Urgently Needed for Jessie please

Vibes being sent, I'd also be wondering how strange plants have ended up in her box. Hope she makes a quick and full recovery. x

Update on behalf of saharas, the vet came out earlier Jessie was much the same, mild spasmodic colic, she has had more meds , has passed droppings and had a wee so things are hopefully improving.

Plenty of further vibes for her as she is not out of the woods yet.

Thank you for all your positive thoughts and vibes..please keep them coming..she has been stable enough for me to leave her to come home& dry off & find some food..we had some scary moments this morning & she wasn't responding to the meds as well as we would have hoped, though after numerous dramatic moments she seems to have stabilised..I'm praying & crossing everything that she is going in the right direction & trying to get herself better..

Re the plants there are three options really as to how they ended up in her stable..tho I ought not to post these just yet..lets just say two known..one unknown possibilities. Shes such a pretty bright mare & so, so characterful its been very difficult. Tho every time i've thought it was going too far the wrong way I've asked her to hang in there & then up she gets..I'm hoping she can keep this up & keep stable atleast so she can rest & get herself better. They say horses & dogs leave hoof & pawprints on your heart..well..I tell you I feel as tho I've been stampeeded and then run over by a raging herd of water bufallo! I actually don't think I look much better either!:D

Come on Jessie, You CAN do this xxxxx

Sending vibes and (((hugs))), hope Jessie keeps improving and is back to her bright, cantering self soon. Please try to look after yourself as well, thinking of you both.

Tash xx

Big hugs to you saharas and mega vibes for Jessie!!

Hi , just a quick thing.. Get the vets to blood test for raised liver enzymes. We have a horse in the yard who kept having mild colic like symptoms , it wasn't colic it was a problem with the liver. He is now on antibiotics and has had liver biopsy.
The vets are inundated with very similar cases, they are thinking its a toxin in the grass that is occurring due to the extreme wet weather and temp changes.
If it is this then you need to know and act fast.

This x100. Often colic ESP mild can be a symptom rather than the cause in cases like this. I would def def be running a full set of bloods if they haven't already, they can be very illuminating and not an invasive thing to do, just a quick blood sample.

A mini update..I'm too exhausted for my usual epics!
First of all, thank you so much for all the positive vibes..:) it does mean alot..I told her you were all thinking of her & willing her to get well very soon:)

I went back at half 4 so she had almost 2 hours rest & I'm glad to say she did not seem to have looked to have rolled..the box was a little messed up but think i missed a tummy patch when I groomed the shavings off her and that she had made the bare patch on the floor foraging with her nose..which looked to have been very busy from the bits all over it..so I stayed for evening stables & pottered about a bit till 8 and so between 2 & 8 she has shown real promise..I'm hoping & praying that she will still be happy when I go back around 11/half past and again in the morning.. she has shown some great strength, will power & spirit today & so I le her have her friend to visit & tied her best mare friend up outside her box..she enjoyed a few face pulls, kisses & a few bites & even told her off once too for visiting!..but all in a very loving way..even Flopsie seemed to be quite content! No poos since lunch, but as expected.
Nil by mouth till am..so I'm having a quick rest till I go back at half 11 and then praying that she will keep up her fight and be stronger still in the morning.

Very grateful for the liver heads up..the first vet took bloods so I will speak in the morning to see if they are sending them to the lab or not & suggest they do..I would never forgive myself if I could have helped her but didn't. I kept thinking earlier of the similarities to the grass sickness little Lucy had, but trying to keep positive & focus all my energy on willing her to get better & stronger, fast.

Very huge thanks to you all..please do keep the vibes coming..my chocolate bear mare is very grateful(because I think she smells like 'just out of the oven chocolate cupcakes!'..and occasionally a little bit like a bear if she's been cuddling the youngster!:D) as am I. XXX
