Healing Vibes Urgently Needed for Jessie please

Thank you all..xxx

I'm currently trying to remember I've left rice on for my supper..so hoping that doesn't make for another thread!..will pop back there in an hour so I'll be with her for half 11..the wind is picking up which should mean I disturb YO less..and sorry to say..YO very unhorsey so would be safe to say she minds me being there generally, let alone any extra visits at strange times..tho I'm not going to focus on that as Jessie needs all my energy to be positivity for her getting well & staying well..can see a move on the cards before my house sells at this rate..only worrying thing is, when I left at 2 & returned at 430 there was another plant complete with root opposite Jessies box, but in the centre of the swept yard..4 meters away. These things shred your hands if you try & pull them so can safely say they aren't the type to uproot in a little bit of wind..tho..onwards & upwards..would be lovely o find a yard with peaceful calming vibes, then everything could be well & happy & enjoy being a horse....xxx

Well, the kitchen looks like a massacre has taken place but I've managed to spoon feed him(!) which has stimulated his appetite and he looks loads better now. Its just the large amount of blood that appears every time he moves that's the issue! Ho him. Fingers crossed for your girly. Wondering if one of these may help your ` weed problems?

Love it..a flame gun..is that to melt anyone who comes near my lovely mare? Sadly can't torch the garden/drive, much as I'm tempted..as these are part of her design feature..they do have legs, but admittedly they are of the 2 legged variety..possibly belonging to you know who! The painter helped me get her up & I asked him if he's given her any handfuls of anything, I genuinely believe him after finding that new one today..someone is..thing is i believe is a her not a him!I still want one for Christmas tho..not long now till i head back..tell Goldi he needs to behave and get well soon xx

I've only just seen this but I'm sending get well vibes x

Is it worth putting a big sign on her door asking people not to feed her anything at all, not even grass?

Everything still crossed here for Jessie. What was the plant??? Sounds like something is going on at the yard as surely people know not to feed other horses let alone dodgy plants.....:confused& surely as a YO they understand that Jessie needs checking on late...:confused: Hugs for you SaharaS xxxx

Well.. good positive so far news update..we have a poo..albeit slightly steam rollered as she has been marching round her box..she hasn't gone down since 2 pm. I left at midnight so will try get some sleep btween now & 6..hopefully she'll keep this up & feel stronger in the morning...She was very keen for nettle herb and peppermint this eve..thats what helped turn her round yesterday morning.

Re YO, totally un horsey!I'm the only one there usually tho as is sole charge of my own Wouldn't be at all surprised tho..Roll on move! I made it plainly clear when horses were moved there from day 1, never feed them anything then gave a full list of reasons & potential expenses! Righ..the insides of my eyelids are calling me!Thank you all for your vibes, please keep them coming!xx

Hope she continues to feel better and that you had a decent sleep. x
I second the sign outside her door idea.

I'd be livid if I found out someone had been tidbitting!! S, I hope Jessie is brighter and more herself this morning. Fingers still crossed xx

Keeping calm and carrying on pooing!got here for 6 stealth watched her for hour happy she's had 2drier small but still poos over might..box tidy and she was eager for some food..gave her a small mug of warm grass nut soup..mainly water..at 7..a nice trumpet impression at 715..moister poo arrived at 720!seems chilled and happy but not drunk over night..maybe just dipped her muzzle.I'm conscious these are all very positive signs tho thrughiut her droppings were small but good..she is pacing s bit at back of box rather than doing her usual loop round and straight back to the door..mucous membranes good colour..thermometer 1 is hibernating spare in 2bits in bin:-/ but hoping we've turned the right corner...flooded fields not helping nor is the snowing but going to take her for a walk round yard and feed hourly before braving walking in the lane...thank you all so much for helping us get this far...she's such a fighter..really hope we're getting there xxx

This is what we want to hear! Fingers crossed it all continues for you and your mare.
Thinking of you xx

Sahara, how is Jessie doing? Did you manage a quick walk in the end? Do hope she is much better but we haven't heard so getting worried xx

Hello all..thank you again for the positive thoughts..I really believe it helps.. I told Jessie how many of you had wished her well & I sware she looked up & smirked:D

Right..so oday we braved some very small soupy grass nut feeds & by lunch I had decided I needed to speak to a vet as I'd lost the ability to engage brain & frankly after the confliction of advice from the firs two, Ispoke to a lovely lady equine vet who reassured me I was doing ok..the plan was, which we followed..Jessie got to go out for an hour at lunch and then another hour in the sunshine..NAKED!!!:D She almost cantered away from the dry nice grass I'd led her to & headed straight for the nettles(detox/tonic/liver support?) & was following me round like a shadow so stayed in the field with her..I continued with the sloppy feeds & we had three in all today(poos) all looking good & soft. She was allowed a bucket of soaked hay at 6 and another2 at 10pm if all is well...

Worryingly, I have now found more of the plants scattered-one dropped in the yard opposite the boxes and one on top of the loose hay remnants(still a fair bit) in the school. This had definitely NOT blown there, it was meant to be found...yet had not been there earlier. I had been out waking the dog for 2 1 hour walks today tho so it is possible for someone to have gone in or for it to have been put there yesterday for the horses to find. I've kept all the bits.

My other worry now is a bit potentially horrid!:(The other horses all stayed in for the two days Jessie has been unwell simply due to the rain, to make life easier for me & to stress her as little as possible-she won't settle unless she knows where the others all are..I did lead them all out in hand and allowed them to stand in the yard to annoy each other etc & all were very happy to stay in-they even seemed supportive & knowing with a couple of friendly nose wipes (in my hair /ear etc!) and nudges.(I had a stripey green face from breakfast grass nuts!) ANyway they all went out for short period this afternoon..and bare in mind if this routine was for Jessie & suggested by a vet for a convalescing veteran mare..then it should have been more than fine for three others who appeared fit & well. All three have come in showing very different but mild twitchy swishy signs..all have pood and all have eaten up..but are very sore to touch/very noisy or very leg weildy...so I'm absolutely shattered & dreading going back at 10 to check.. I was at the yard today from 6am to 720 pm and absolutley shattered..
Really hope this is all settled & fine before i head back..not sure how much more i could take...so many things running thru my mind right now, its a wonder my brain hasn't scrambled..I'm sure thats a delicasy in some countries! I really do need to reduce my numbers after this..its all just too much:(

Massive hugs for you S! I am glad Jessie is doing ok!

Is there anywhere you could move them on an emergancy if you feel someone is doing this on purpose? :(

Fingers crossed the others are all ok x
