Hi All, so there is a good friend of mine who has helped my out big time with exercising my Mare. Herself & her hubbie are picking up the keys to their new house this afternoon & want to get her something horsey related for a house warming pressie - any ideas?

china/glasses with horse prints ditto mugs/paintings/cushions/cartoons - you get some lovely Thelwell things. Or for joke presents - toilet roll holder!!
There is also a website that does cast iron stuff with horses, plant basket, house names etc. You are spoilt for choice really, let us know what you get

I'd avoid buying anything that forms a fundamental part of their home, like a loo seat, or anything that would be expected to be on display unless you are absolutely sure they will love it. I hate it when people buy stuff for our house, imposing their taste on us. I have lots of pictures, from hubbies mum, hidden in cupboards!

True.... but how about something for ON the house rather than IN it? - A horse weathervane for example;

Yuck! On rather than in is a good idea :). I hate that weathervane though! Might look nicer once its got a bit of verdigris on it. :)

When we got married the neighbours over the road bought us a horsey hanging basket hook and a lovely hanging basket full of flowers. That worked well cos we're both horsey and I love my garden :). Horses for courses!
