Help me choose a daddy!! *squeals in excitement!*

Doubly expensive for those of us who are greedy!
Make sure you keep us posted, though I'm sure you will.
I'll need you to hold my hand through all of this...am planning to recruit others too, esp Becki2003 seeing as I think she was nearly as excited/terrified as I will be
What made you decide to leap in at the deep end and have two?

Lol, its cost me £2,100 so far and I've got to have the mares registered with Wetherbys next week which means DNA tests
mad.gif
then the foals will have to be DNA tested too.

Well i wanted 3
tongue.gif
but 1 mare didn't get in-foal. I wanted them together as I think its nice to have foals together and the 2 mares that are in-foal have been together for 14 years now. It was actually an accident that I got to use Ringo. I was going to use another WB they had (although Ringo was always my first choice his stud fee was too high), but he got injured and couldn't even cover the dummy. So they said I could use Ringo for the same price. But 1 mare didn't get in-foal, 1 mare got in-foal, then reabsorbed, then didn't take then finally got in-foal, the other got in-foal 1st time only for it to be twins (apparently very rare in NF mares
mad.gif
) but thankfully a successful pinching was carried out.

I'm only putting these 2 mares in-foal this one time as I miss driving them like mad now. Plus they're not proven broodmares although I'm hoping these 2 foals are to make 14.2 performance ponies which will go to the BEF scheme and either be show jumpers or dressage ponies.

But I am looking at buying a broodmare

If you ever need to PM me go ahead, but I'm not an expert as these are my first foals.

I will definitely be posting a lot in the next few months, lol

Ive have a website but it isn't quite finished and my 2 young stallions have temporary pics because I am waiting for the release for their professional ones.... the top 2 lines keep going squiffy as well on each page and I can't work out why! I'm a techno phobe and I having problems setting up a site even using Mr Site

All that being said its... (be gentle)

The penny drops!! Lol, blonde moment - completely missed your tickers before!
You posted pics of your two in the frost/snow a while ago didn't you?! I used to have a Teasel too, so I really shouldn't have forgotten!

I thought about breeding Tills before, but didn't want to forgoe her competitiveness at the time, she was INCREDIBLE at her job. She's been retired from competition for about 18months now because of suspensory troubles and has been saunterng round the lanes with me, but now her suspensories are completely giving up the ghost so I thought it was a case of now or never!
I was too selfish to give up on my riding time with her, so I can only imagine how much you must miss working yours. I was fully intending on taking my other mare out of work to breed from her, but unfortunately she voted for early retirement by developing fair few problems and is going to be PTS

Oh, and rehome a polo pony as a broodmare.... they need all the help they can get!
The draining of bank accounts starts now - Am about to plunder Amazon for books

It's not massively better. Have had a course of super strong anti-biotics, and now gone straight onto some weaker one's to try and scare the infection off, and failing that to keep it at bay until after my exams. Not painful now though

Thanks for asking!! X

What happend to your collarbone?

Glad you can breed from your mare

I got a Helios Baby from Horsegroupie out of my tb mare, he's so laid back but cheeky and nosey. I've also bought a (now 2yr old) colt from her and he is a dream to handle and the most stunning animal I've ever laid eyes on. Read all the +ive feedback on the site.

Talk about hiding your light under a bushel!
You have some gorgeous horses, particularly like Bellagio. Can't wait to see his professional pics!

Sorry to hear about Romeo, he was stunning.

ETS: BTW, your site isn't bad at all - especially for a technophobe!

Came off my youngster in Jan. Broke it in two places and had it plated a week later, and since then have had nothing but trouble. Really wasn't one of my better ideas
crazy.gif

Hows the big conversion going? You and Ernie eventers yet?!
tongue.gif

I am very proud of my babies and I think i'd die if someone said something nasty about one of them, I think thats why I hide under the bushel. Bellagio is fab (IMO), we registered him BSJA 2 weeks ago (if that) he already has 1 DC BN and a 3rd in Discovery! He's only jumped in 3 classes over 2 shows! He still has to fill out some but he's (fingers xed) going to be a star! Hot Business is moving to bbmats on 10th May to do some Stressage! carthorse is coming to visit when I have some more babies on the ground and her daughter is going to have a 'do' on Helios, he's now 23 but thinks he's 3 most the time, I hoping she doesn't jump him too big because I have kittens watching him, he just doesn't know the difference between 1.20 and 1.50 he just jumps everything BIG!.

They're lovely, I don't think anyone will have anything bad to say about them, especially with results like you're getting already!
You're obviously very good at producing as well as the breeding, start singing your own praises!!

Sorry I can't help with the sattlions but I just wanted to say that feel awful about recommending the collar bone op. I haven't had a seconds trouble with mine and I have never regretted having it done for a moment. I really hope the anitbiotics do the trick, keeping my fingers firmly crossed xx

Is that my next horse in your siggie, horsegroupie, the baby on the left or shall I wait and see them all.
She is not jumping anything big if I'm there ,I might let her have a walk round on him.

Thankies
grin.gif

I can only take the glory for the choosing who goes to who and putting the semen in the mare and that side of things! I no longer ride and have a very good amateur rider that does the producing from 3yrs up for me, she is fantastic but unfortunately lives in Lancashire
confused.gif
so we travel alot.

You obviously haven't seen the latest addition the her brood..... Betty Bug x Romeo. He's stunning and I'm totally in love. I just CAN'T have any more! lol (fingers crossed for lotto win!)

LMFAO!!!! Please don't feel responsible at all, despite all the infections I've not regretted the surgery for a minute. I was able to get back to norma, riding and driving, really quickly - had i sat around waiting for my bones to heal themselves then I'd have gone nutty! And seeing as they're not healing when plated together, I really don't think they would have healed when they were in a rather sexy zigzag and trying to burst out through my skin.
Next time I'll take the easy option and just not fall off! (Having said that the little madam has chucked me again since then
mad.gif
)

Yes I have seen him he was pm'd to me[ I am very privileged]
Spending all our money on vets bills, lessons and wedding at the momemt ,so must not fall in love ,repeat, must not fall in love
