Help needed for fitting Double Reins

Im having a mental block at the moment, must be because Ive dyed my hair,

Anyway just putting a bridle together and cant work out which ring the plaited reins go on (its a rugby pelham) and which ones the plain reins go on,

Please help so I can my bridle back together, lol
 
You don't HAVE to use one but it's incorrect without same as for any curb bit, it stops the curb chain from turning over on pressure. If it's for showing, then yes, you do need it as it could be the thing that marks you out from the rest or could make just that one point difference in another's favour.
 
Well I didnt know that so thank you for making me aware,

im very particular in trying to look and dress the part even if my horse doesnt go as well as I want her too lol
