Help needed for fitting Double Reins

Im having a mental block at the moment, must be because Ive dyed my hair,

Anyway just putting a bridle together and cant work out which ring the plaited reins go on (its a rugby pelham) and which ones the plain reins go on,

Please help so I can my bridle back together, lol

Plain rains are the curb reins (if reins are different widths then curb rein will always be the narrower one)

Fat plait on top narrow plain below. Dont forget your lip strap.

Do you have to use a lip strap, not a problem if so, I have got one here somewhere but didnt know you have to use one ?

i don't think you Have to use a lip strap, but it is correct.

You don't HAVE to use one but it's incorrect without same as for any curb bit, it stops the curb chain from turning over on pressure. If it's for showing, then yes, you do need it as it could be the thing that marks you out from the rest or could make just that one point difference in another's favour.
