Like a lot of people I make an extra Christmas donation to charity. It's almost always an animal charity, often a rescue centre or similar. However, this year for the first time in quite a while I'm not working, just a bit of freelance/self-employed gaff going on. And it suddenly occurred to me that on my current budget it's going to be a bit of a struggle.
So! The obvious answer is to try to get sponsored for doing something different this year. My first idea was doing a sponsored walk, but that's rather where my idea stopped, and why I need the help of you lovely people
What else could I do that would people might sponsor me for?
If it was a walk, say across the Yorkshire moors/peak district, how far should you walk to be worthy of sponsorship?
I was considering donating the funds to GSD rescue, as I bought Loki this year (a GSD pup) it seems fitting to donate something to the dogs I didn't adopt. Not sure if that makes sense
But at the same time, I feel a little bad that I could help dogs of any breed. What are other peoples' opinions?
Since I was considering GSD rescue, I thought it might be nice if Loki could come along on this walk. But as I'll probably be doing it early December when he still wont be quite 8 months I'm not sure he could go the distance. Which leads me back to.... How far should I walk?!
Sorry this has turned into rather a long post, but if anyone has some ideas I would really appreciate it!
