I am very pleased to say that today I took Poppy on what will hopefully be her final journey, to the amazing Greatwood near Marlborough:

Having spent the last few weeks getting extremely stressed and upset trying to sort this out (and working out how I could afford to keep 3 horses if that's what it came to), getting knocked back by charities who wouldn't touch her because she wasn't a prosecution case, I finally got in touch with Greatwood. Their lovely founder Helen called within about 15 minutes of me submitting my enquiry through their website and said they would take her...I couldn't believe it.
Bless her, she walked up the lorry ramp and travelled like a pro, and tonight she is tucked up in a huge stable with a deep straw bed and a haylage mountain to munch on. I feel sorry for her tonight, in just a few weeks she has learned to trust us and and now she doesn't know where she is - I wish i could explain to her that everything will be alright and she will never go hungry again...
