If you're on Facebook you might want to join the Bad Livery page and give a heads up in case anyone is on there looking at yards in your area. Glad you got your horses back.

I hope the police were able to sort the situation. Please let us know you and horses are all ok.
Good luck on your next yard.

Well the police wasted no time last night. They asked my boyfriend and I to wait at the bottom of the drive out of sight. She wouldn't pick up her phone so they had to climb over the security gate (she changed the code so I couldn't get in) and went up to the yard. They told me before they went up that it's going to go one of two ways - she hands them over or gets arrested for theft.

I kid you not, we could hear her screaming and shouting at the two officers from two fields away.

An hour later they bring my horses down the drive, with her following in her car to open the gate. She parked along side us, eyeballing us, and when I got out of the car to go to them she started shouting more abuse, so the police told her to leave.

I was meeting the transport guy further down in the village, and on the way down she tried to block us on the drive. I was told to lead the horses down behind the police car and in front of my boyfriends car in case she tried to get to me (!) She said she had nowhere to reverse her big car to and we would have to go back up - and when I told the police there was a driveway right behind her she was mortified! I mean, how does she think she is going to get one over one the police?

We arrived at the the new yard after 11pm, the poor owner was in her jammies because I couldn't get hold of her to tell her we were coming, but all was well, she gave me a hug and said she is so glad it's all sorted.

They are settled in and I'm about to head over to see them. She refused to give me my tack and rugs back, so will call police later about that, but to be honest I'm just glad I got the horses.

Thanks so much for all the support guys, I wouldn't have had the balls to go for the jugular like that without you LOL

Oh and in Scotland, but thanks so much for the offer of help :)
I will check out the bad livery page today! And I'll be keeping an eye on the police Scotland Facebook page, as the officers took loads of selfies with the horses, they said it's such a novelty for them and were so proud of themselves for leading horses for the first time ever haha :)

Great news - glad the police were helpful. You often hear that they sidestep these things and say it's a civil matter (not that I've had any personal experience)
Also lovely that the new YO gave you a warm welcome.

love it. so pleased it all worked out for u :)

So pleased you're out and really hope you get your last bits and pieces out as that poor excuse of a human being is not owed anything from you. It is shocking how some people behave.

The police sound great :)

Your new YO sounds lovely, and I hope you can get on with your life and horses in peace now!

Wow, its's nice to hear how helpful the police were rather than just saying it's a civil matter as they seem oft to do in similar circumstances.

how relieved you must be feeling now, i cant imagine what you must have been feeling. So refreshing to hear stories of police being helpful too

Gosh, what a story - Truth is Stranger than Fiction. Thank goodness you have your horses back and three cheers for the Police for being wonderful!

You can't reason with crazy, so you just have to go straight to drastic action, which I am so glad to read was worthwhile for you!

So glad it's all turned out ok. As a policeman's wife I'm not surprised they helped you - they'll do anything to avoid having a crime reported. Nothing to do with keeping the figures down. They just hate the paperwork ;)

Give them a big hug. Hope they settle well in the new place. New YO sounds lovely. Then again Pol Pot would have been better than the old one!

I'm very glad you and the horses got out of there safely, and I'm very impressed with the assistance that the Police provided. Fingers crossed your rugs and other bits are not damaged before you collect it, I'm assuming you'll go and get that with a Police escort?

that is amazing news and WELL DONE scots police!! Rare occurrence over here that they will get involved!!

Keep on and get your tack, plaster her name everywhere she sounds completely power crazy and insane and wont have expected that reaction from you!!

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!! So pleased for you!!

Enjoy your horses now :)

xx
