Help needed - serious loaning trouble!

Another who is delighted by the outcome.
I was worried you might not get much help from the police. About 20 years ago we were in a similar situation. YO said we would never see horse again. Police were very reluctant to get involved, seemed to think paying livery didn't necessarily grant you access to your horse! We turned up with police to remove horse, by chance YO was out and sane yard manager was in who confirmed livery was up to date and we had every right to take horse. If YO had been there I dont know what would have happened.
Am relieved for your happy outcome

Fantastic result, and top marks to the police. It sounds like they had a jolly day out helping you! The good thing too is, when she pulls another stunt again (and she will), they will remember this and come down hard on her. Her name will be remembered. The new YO sounds great, so overall I think the OP has actually done well out of it, tack and rugs excepted. You will probably get these back but in pieces unfortunately.
It is frightening to think that these nutjobs are on the loose in society.

Been watching with baited breath ! what lovely new livery yard owner giving you a hug brought a lump to my throat ! and way to go Police !!! so pleased for you xx

Been lurking, cos there was nothing I could add that would have been helpful.

Just wanted to say how happy I am for your that your got your horses safely out of there. Bl**dy woman must be an absolute nutter.

Hope you are all very happy at your new yard.

Thanks everyone!

Passports came back with horses last night and I'm waiting on a call back about tack. No massive deal, nothing expensive and my saddle (though it's rubbish) is in the house anyway, it will just be a pain replacing it all.

Yes I think it will be biscuits for police and flowers for the new YO to say thanks for having me so suddenly - and so late!

Been up to see them this morning and they have settled in well, few days of isolation then they can get out in the field. So far so good!

Happy post!

Just caught up on this brilliant news it ended well and more importantly safely!

I think a call to the local paper might be in order. You certainly don't want anyone else having to go through what you have

So glad this ended well. Is your friend still there or has she managed to get out, too?

I'm not sure what she is wanting to do, she certainly hasn't mentioned moving. They are happier there than I was and get on with her better, so maybe the YO just had a problem with me and my horses!

Not commented before but have been keeping eye on this thread. I am so pleased you got them back.

Well done in what must have been a scary scenario

Credit to you. People should never underestimate our in built protection of our own property. Take care.

There is no accounting for taste...personally if I saw that happen to anybody else I'd probably be gone quicker than them!!!
