It needs to be washed tonight for dressage on Saturday and I have no special wool washing powder and I dont wanna mess it up....

I have been googling and most say special shampoo stuff and if I machine normally I will ruin it!

Any ideas?

Thanks :):):):)

I don't really know and i am sure others will, but if it were me i would very gently hand wash with a mild shampoo or a tiny tiny tiny amount of washing powder. then let it drip dry over the barfffff:D

I have the Le Mieux half sheepskin pads which are used daily and washed regularly.

I was advised to slather them in cheapo human hair conditioner and then put them in the machine on a 30o wash. I use normal Persil. Do not tumble dry.

LOL :D ^^this! I have a mattes half pad and it is fine, just allow it to dry away from heat and if it still has skin, shake it up a few times while it is drying to keep it supple.

If I have special wool, leather or down wash I use that, but normal washing powder once in a while doesn't seem to do any harm :)

I have washed it with a bit of normal shampoo and covered in conditioner, rinsed and is now left hanging over the bath.

Thanks :)

Oh dear, i just throw our's in the machine with the normal washing powder on the normal wash and then leave it to dry naturally

Doesn't seem to be causing any problems with it, comes out lovely and soft and fluffy and showing no signs of wear and it has been washed quite a lot of times
