Will not go into why i stupidly went with THAT insurance company but if anyone could give me some advice i'd appreciate it.
In October 06 my mare wasn't right behind jumping one day,she wasn't lame but didn't feel right,my trainer also agreed after she rode my mare to,so my vert came out the next day and did a nerve block it turned out the problem was high up and she'd have to go into the vets for x rays, the vet then discovers that it's her hip that is to blame, although they weren't sure if she had pulled the muscle around the hip or that she had early stages of arthritus in developing in the joint. They then tried to do a bone scan but it was a 20% chance they'd do it successfully, they didn't manage to get anywhere with that so he advised field rest for 3 months and cartrophen injections every week for 4 wks.All went well,he said to bring her back into work in January 07 gently and see how she goes, touch wood she has come back better than ever but i still have no answers to what was actually causing her to be uncomfortable, she wasn't happy in left canter which makes sense as that was it is her right hip that is bad, circles have always been her downfall to.
Anyway as her treatment was going on i sent my ins company all her invoices etc as requested, they asked for her passport and they had it for ages before i finally got it back last month, after a lot if nagging they finally sent me a settlement figure 3 months back which i excepted but the cheque still hasn't come through from them and my vets are not happy, what do i do,i keep nagging the ins company but nothing seems to be happening,i feel bad for the vets but i just can't afford to pay the bill outright and to make me even more upset the ins company are still taking my monthly £45 out of my account
What shall i do to try and get things moving? I don't want to have a bad relationship with my vet but i know it's going to end up like that soon if nothing happens.HELP!
