I have a lovely navy Charles Owen showing hat, you know - the one with the flesh coloured harness.
Its not been used very often, as I only ever wore it for dressage and showing, and I'm only getting back into competing after buying a new pony....
I wore it today in two show classes, but hubby commented afterward that my forehead was covered in black stuff, so I ivestigated. Inside the hat, the band/ liner is made of a navy towelling material, but behind that there was a thin layer of black foam, and this has totally disintegrated
I'm so gutted, does this mean I need a new hat, or maybe if I took it to a good saddlery could they check it for me??? Its never been dropped or fallen off in, and I'm hating the thought of buying a new one (as I also need a new hat for 6yo, as he HAS fallen off recently
)
Anyone had similar, or got any advice???
