So my aunt has split up with her OH and has come to stay with us for a few days. Now she's brought her puppy a JRT (the one we recommended that she didn't get as she can't look after it- see other post). Puppy isn't house trained, crate trained and has never been socialised with other animals.
My problem is that my dogs don't get on with her (my bitch has very firmly put her in her place several times today) nor do my new cats who have only just been introduced to dogs. My bitch sleeps in a crate (she can get through the cat flap) and the dog has run of the kitchen with the cats. The puppy can also get through the cat flap, isn't house trained and doesn't get on with the dog or the cats so can't be loose in the kitchen or any other room as they're all carpeted. The only other crate type thing we have is the cat carrier which I think is too small for the puppy to sleep in.
I'm not prepared to fork out £50 that I don't have on a crate for a puppy my aunt isn't even sure she will keep.... So how can I make this work??
Jaffa cakes if you made it this far
