He's probably not far wrong:rolleyes:

Have just had him marching around the house and the up and down the yard on the lead, practising his heelwork. The car park at work is completely ungritted, and the snow has been compacted into an ice-rink - it is awful to try and walk across, particularly as it also slopes! I genuinely find it scary - I have never been much of an ice-skater. He has nearly had me over today, especially this evening when one of the other dogs was having a leg stretch in the car park. I had to let him go, and then he was having so much fun playing with his buddy (another spangle, wouldn't you just know it) that he wouldn't come back:mad:

So tomorrow I am going to have to use my walking pole to get into the office, for which I will have the piss ripped out of me, and we are going to use this as an opportunity to work on heel.

I have also told him if he carries on like this I will send him back to the rescue centre. He looked suitably stricken by this... I bloody well meant it at the time, too!:rolleyes:

If it makes you feel any better I actually brought the Halti out of retirement today as she had to come with me to fetch the horse in and the roads were slick as anything. Being a bit precious about my broken face and don't want to go over again. :o

Needless to say she was not best pleased but it had the desired effect. :p

NN, I think he's right too:D

BC, I don't blame you for being cautious! Henry has one more day to clean up his act, then I too will be digging the dreaded halti out (he HATES it...)

I walked mine separately today, Buffy tends to cross in front of Evie and I, had visions of going A over T on the ice if she did it today. This morning I gingerly walked a mile back from the school I help at with no problem, turned in through my gate and went crash on my bum. Darling son had been wheel spinning in his land rover to make skid marks, bless !
