Well Sat was the day. Herbie was ridden for the first time ever at a show and I lived to tell the tale
He loaded as good as gold in the morning. We arrived at 8:30 and the showground was prity quiet. Afew people were there and two were walming up. I was the first to go at 9. I collected my number then tacked Herbs up. I got him off the lorry at 8:50 and got on. I walked him round the warmup and he didn't take much notice of the other horses realy or any of the other stuff going on inclu two kids riding bikes round the warmup area.
Our name was called and we walked to the arena. I thought he may nap here but he didn't. we went into the arena and he had a little look at the white bords marking the arena and the judges box but appart from that he wasn't to bothered. Then the judge rang the bell for us to start.
Heres how the test went.

I was so pleased with him.
Then in a moment of madness I did this

He was such a star. only one small nap when we passed the ring entrance but he jumped everything so well.
I took him back to the lorry on a high. when I went to load him he didn't want to go in
(I think he was having to much fun and didn't want to go home
) It only took a couple of minuets to perswade him to go in so it wasn't to bad afterall
. Then I waited for the results of the dressage. I couldn't believe my eyes when they went up we came 2nd with 65.38%
I was so proud and had to stop myself from bursting into tears
.
He's turning into such a lovely pony. I can'r believe how far he's come since I bought him.
Now I just want to say

to all those who told me to give up on him.
Thanks for reading and to all those who have supported me and all the work i've been doing with Herbie over the last almost year and a half
Choc cake and icecream to celebrate.
