Well Sat was the day. Herbie was ridden for the first time ever at a show and I lived to tell the tale ;) :p :D
He loaded as good as gold in the morning. We arrived at 8:30 and the showground was prity quiet. Afew people were there and two were walming up. I was the first to go at 9. I collected my number then tacked Herbs up. I got him off the lorry at 8:50 and got on. I walked him round the warmup and he didn't take much notice of the other horses realy or any of the other stuff going on inclu two kids riding bikes round the warmup area.
Our name was called and we walked to the arena. I thought he may nap here but he didn't. we went into the arena and he had a little look at the white bords marking the arena and the judges box but appart from that he wasn't to bothered. Then the judge rang the bell for us to start.
Heres how the test went.

I was so pleased with him. :D
Then in a moment of madness I did this

He was such a star. only one small nap when we passed the ring entrance but he jumped everything so well. :D

I took him back to the lorry on a high. when I went to load him he didn't want to go in :( (I think he was having to much fun and didn't want to go home ;) :p ) It only took a couple of minuets to perswade him to go in so it wasn't to bad afterall :). Then I waited for the results of the dressage. I couldn't believe my eyes when they went up we came 2nd with 65.38%  :D I was so proud and had to stop myself from bursting into tears :o.
He's turning into such a lovely pony. I can'r believe how far he's come since I bought him. :)
Now I just want to say :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p to all those who told me to give up on him. :D
Thanks for reading and to all those who have supported me and all the work i've been doing with Herbie over the last almost year and a half :D Choc cake and icecream to celebrate.

Super test Laura, massive well done to both of you!!!! He looks like an old hand, taking it all in his stride, completely settled and happy! :D

And the jumping afterwards!!!! The icing on the cake! :D :D :D

Well done!! Cant see the stressage test, but the jumping round looked so good! Very calm, and under lots and lots of control (more than can be said for me! ;) )

You should be very pleased wiht yourself and your super pony [=

Thanks guys. :D

Booboos he was like a little pro. Much more relaxed than I thought he'd be. Next time i'll have to actualy warm him up and see what happens then ;) :p :D

arizonahoney :o I just can't seem to help it. Although I didn't actualy cry this time unlike when he won the new forest inhand class. I did burst into tears when the judge gave me the ribbon. I think he thought I was alittle strange :p :D

muddygreymare thankyou he's turning into such a fab little pony :D I'm so glad I didn't give up on him.

picolenicole I can't believe I did the jumping either. It was in the heat of the moment and I was on a high :D

bexcy-bee I went into the jumping with the aim of staying in trot. Not shore how much control I'd have had cantering back twords the entrance ;) But i'm so pleased with how he went and i'm feeling more confident to jump him again at another show :D

millreef It's fairly easy realy (although took me ages to work out :o )
I've just spent ages trying to explain how it's done but I just kept confusing myself. I'm prity shore there is a post explaning how it's done in the videos section on the forum. It's stickied at the top. Honestly it can't be that hard if I can do it. :p ;) :D :D

Super super little pony! What a difference to how he was when you got him, massive well done to you both!

Thankyou. He is so diffrent now. A real little sweet heart (when he wants to be ;) ) I don't think he'll ever loose his cheeky side but thats what makes him him :)
