He's gone, probably the worst day of my life!

so so sorry, what a terrible disease, he'll help others now, you've been very kind to allow that.
Can't imagine what you're feeling - he had such a short life, though in that short time it was active, and he couldn't have been loved and cared for more.

At a complete loss for words. Was thinking about you all afternoon and really wasn't expecting this outcome. So sorry and wish there was something I could do other than send you my heartfelt condolences.

Sleep well, Koko. x

May I also add how brave of you to let him go on to help us learn more about this awful condition.

Just wanted to say how very sorry I am for your loss. I always followed your threads because Koko was such a stunning boy. My thoughts are with you.

Oh no! Have just got in and seen this. I am so sorry kokopelli! What an awful day for you - thinking of you. x

That's awful, so sorry for your loss :( I've heard of this condition, it sounds very frightening indeed. I hope one day you can remember Koko with a smile, when my big lad died I thought I'd never be able to look at a photo of him again without crying but trust me, it does get better. Big hugs (((())))

I can't believe it! It was only this morning I replied to your post about how well he was jumping! :( I'm so sorry, I bet you are devastated. He looked like such a lovely pony. I too, lost one of my horse's a couple of months ago so I know what you are going through and how much it hurts so if you want to talk feel free to PM me. RIP Koko :( xxx

So shocked to read this post - so sorry to hear the bad news - I want to cry for you too.
Very brave of you to allow him to go on and help others, well done. I hope it will help you come to terms with all this. Such a striking horse, my thoughts are with you.

Holy **** I've just caught up with this thread.

Please say it wasn't the lovely appy that converted me to liking a spotty?!

:'(

I'm so so so sorry hun xx

So sorry to hear this.
Try to take comfort from the fact that it all happened so quickly, so at least he didn't suffer long.
I echo other who have said 'thank you' for allowing him to help research into the condition, to possibly help avoid others going through the same thing. An equine vet once told me 'We are getting good at diagnosing illness in horses, we just can't cure them!'

So sorry to hear this, he was a beuatiful lad. Those that shine the brightest cannot shine for as long.
Thank you for allowing him to help with research into this awful illness.

I have just been reading your earlier post about Koko falling ill wondering how he was doing.

When I saw post title I gasped :-(

I am so sorry for your loss. I cant imagine know how it must feel but sending you huge hugs x x

Thank you everyone, the vets did a brilliant job and kept him going as long as possible. Waiting for the post mortem results I really hope he has helped many other horses and vets help find a cure for this horrible disease!
