He's Here!!!

Wow, what an adventure! I didn't realise you were taking him with you, looks like he has settled in well!

I would love to hear more about how horses are kept over there, it would be really interesting!

I am so excited he arrived safe and sound with you.

It is really weird having followed your progress to think he's now all the way over there!

I really hope you'll be very happy there :)

What an interesting post J looks well in his new surroundings how old is he ? Please keep posting and let us know horsey gossip from the States one of my favourite holiday destinations.

would also be interested in the differences over there

Good luck to you all! xx

So glad he arrived safe and sound. Very exciting times although it will be a culture shock but I'm sure you'll be very happy there :)

Another following your epic journey, both 2 legs and 4 legs!! Your new yard looks amazing and I'm sure that you will all be very happy- what's not to like, looking at that sunshine?!! Keep us posted through this winter and good luck :):)

This was an amazing post to read, really interesting to hear a POV from someone thats done such a big more - and brought the horse!

I'm so happy all is safe and well. Good luck for the future and look forward to following your posts :)

Wow, what a fab post and how amazing for you to have him with you - and looking so at home already :D Good on you for taking him - it all looks to be working out nicely :D

Maybe when my horse is relentlessly fencewalking due to Scottish horizontal rain, she is looking over the fence for that plane which will give her a lift back to Denver. She says she's bloody jealous of your horse going to California. I told her that if I fall off her, the healthcare costs incurred will be free, and in any case, the Highlands are lovely and no one ever melted in the rain, haven't dissuaded her.

Wow, seems like he took the epic journey in his stride!

Your new stables look amazing and sure you will appreciate the lack of need for wellies and waterproofs in winter!

I also live outside of uk and your comparisons would be really interesting to read!

Enjoy!

Have been following your posts, got quite a lump reading through that! So relieved you got him 'home' safe, yard looks amazing. Flat and dry, omg so jealous!!!! Please keep us posted, it is fascinating!!

What an epic journey. Glad he arrived safe and sound.

It's so interesting, seeing the California barns and shed row stabling, which is so different to the barn set-ups here in Connecticut and New York (HUGE indoor barns, HUGE indoor arenas).

Looking forward to pictures of you out and about at American shows.

Wow, it looks amazing. Glad he has travelled well. I have always enjoyed following his journey.

That's the same transport company we use for ours- never sent them to USA but have done Europe and Hong Kong, brilliant brilliant company. I remember the last time they picked my favourite horse up, the driver remembered him from previous trips and the horse knew he would have a polo for him. Sadly the horse died a month later from colic so he never came home :-(

Really hope you continue keeping us informed of your families journey.
Best of luck

Thanks for the replies! I moved into my new house yesterday and we don't have a cable yet for the internet (or phone, or TV!) so I am on 4g on a tiny phone :p. Once we are set up I'll write in more detail a post about how they keep the horses here it's quite cool! I will say the Americans where I am are just as nuts about their horses as we are! Hee hee. Walking round the local supermarket or 'store' in their horse boots and cowboy boots :p, some things are the same!
Xx

fantastic report on an epic journey and you must be over the moon to have him with you again. I got quite emotional reading your lovely report, looking forward to hearing more about the set up over there :-)) enjoy the sunshine!
