Please, please support Star - she's doing a wonderful thing for no personal gain and is not really receiving any support from us HHOers.
We're all very generous with our vibes, sympathies, thoughts and prayers when a member is going through a rough patch, but by doing this Star and all who donate are making a difference to kids having to battle cancer.
I'm sure we could all just donate one pound, and it would make a huge difference to their total.
This forum is a wonderful place to be when we all come together, so lets pull together for Star and the Youth Cancer Trust

thanks bounty - you're a star! even 50p would be fab - i'm sure most people can spare 50p - you'd lose it down the side of the sofa without missing it!!!

the charity are fab - they do holidays for children from all over the UK with terminal diseases, cancer etc - bringing a bit of happiness into their lives

That's ok, I'm not in a position at the moment to be able to do anything like you're doing so I thought I'd do my bit by trying to rally the troops... seems very unsuccessful unfortunately

I'm a little surprised by the lack of compassion actually. (Just watch me get jumped on for saying that!!)
 
Try posting in soap box as its not a horsey thing, also a lot of people do just seem to go in soap box nowadays and only come in New lounge if they've a specific horsey problem.

Star, my partner is doing the 3 peaks yacht race the week after so I know what you're up against..good luck and good on you for doing it for such a worthy cause.
 
Star - tell us about your prep!!! I want to hear more - it's ages since I've been up a mountain, never mind 3! If anyone ever gets on to see this...

thanks so much to everyone who has donated! we're off tomorrow. boyfriend has been fiddling with his 4x4 all week and has now managed to break it though - men! now, we have to borrow his dad's gutsy car which will eat fuel and cost a fortune to do the 2000 miles we're covering!

if anyone else wants to donate - it's not too late - even 50p would be appreciated!
