I need to order my grey a Hi-viz mesh sheet as the one I have is far too big for her. :(

So should I order...

yellow?

pink?

or yellow police style?

I quite like the last one, but if I get the pink one it will put off certain males who want to ride her. ;) :p

I think that she could carry it off, she'd make a good poice arab. :D

Maybe I should get pink leg wraps? Garrrr, why do I find it so hard to decide? :(

ETA. V bandz. I have the plain yellow (old style - no tail flap) for my chestnut mare and I've used it so much, they are fab. :)

Now you see, out of three answers, I have got three different opinions and I'm still confuzzled. :p

I know that pink would be her vote, but she likes to pretend to be a princess pony!

BH wears pink and he's a boy! lol She'd look awesome in pink. You can wear a yellow tabbard if you're worried about being seen better.

Being boring, yellow hiviz has a higher safety standard than pink, so I would vote yellow every time (shows up better):)

Driving along a straight road today, there was cyclist coming towards us wearing yellow hiviz. As he got closer we realised there were two of them, but the other one was wearing pink hiviz and we didn't see her at first :(.

But in the summer pink is better than yellow as yellow disappears in bright sunlight! I like a nice, loud mix of pink and yellow and orange. It's enough to burn your retinas out! :D

IMO, you can see the pink far better than yellow.
I was being weird and scrolling up and down the pictures really fast :o and the pink one stood out much more than the yellows.

I *think* its scientificaly proven that red is the first colour you see, seeming as pink is relatively close to red, that pink should be close to the first colour you see. Also, you dont see road signs being yellow, theyre red!

:)

actually, iaS, I thought orange was meant to be most visible in most conditions, last I read :p They do say red cars are most visible, but I wouldn't be sure it's scientifically "proven" :)

Bright yellow but also get yourself a nice long sleeved Hi-Viz jacket so that the escaped sheep can clearly see your hand signals from a distance.

Corrected for you. ;)

You may think that I joke, but it's actually a shock if I meet a car. The most likely 'road users' are, in order; naughty sheep, dog walkers, cyclists and sometimes a tractor. I used to hack down proper, busy main roads when I was in Hertfordshire so my mare is traffic proof. :)

I also like to have a mix of yellow and pink. this is mainly because in Herts, I used to pass alot of Oil Seed Rape fields and the yellow blended in.

I had thought about the orange Equisafety sheet, but I really want a mesh one and orange isn't an option that I can find in mesh. :(

I don't like going out without hi-viz though, as we have passed tractors in the next door fields that have been doing noisy stuff and the local farmers are fab and will pause as we go past, but they have to be able to see us through the hedge. I do have a yellow hatband which helps with this. :D

yes it has been suggested that a bigger diff between the horse colour and the hi viz colour works best. I think frank is pretty visible in yellow but cally (mums palo) might be better in pink. Not going to happen though :p

I like the pink, but the yellow always jumps out far more and so I'd always go with that. Love the Equisafety polite range... sure to slow people a little quicker, well worth it I'd say
