Hippus Bits - UK stockist??

I got mine off Kerrilli on here. Not sure if she still distributes them. Just reminded me, I have mine collecting dust at the moment!

Not sure, but Cotswold Sport do a bit very similar for a fraction of the price :)

Hmm, I've just had a look at that. The sweet-iron one? Sweet-iron isn't the same as medical-grade stainless steel, obviously. (hence the price difference i guess) also, the hinge is quite different, that one will poke into the top of the horse's mouth as the bit closes at the hinge if both reins are pulled, whereas the Hippus is designed so that no part of it protrudes at all, no matter how tight the angle might get. I wouldn't put the CS one in a horse's mouth, sorry.

sare_bear, if you're not using yours now, maybe pm Bounty about it, if you haven't already?

Thanks all, sorry for late reply, scooted off to see War Horse last night. Incredible horses!!! Film rather overboard sopy though, which spoilt it for me a bit.

Anyway! Had already seen the CS version, but just couldn't put that in her mouth (sorry J).

Basically madam seems to hate the basic NS lozenge mouthpiece (fulmer or loose ring), hated a jointed happy mouth, was better in a mullen mouth nathe but lacked the room for it, so I think hippus is the next port of call? Unless any of you think otherwise?

She has been hacking out under saddle for a little while now, where I can turn a blind eye to the chompiness because I'm not so fussed about the contact. But now she's strong enough to start school work properly I need to get her happy in her mouth.
