I still haven't managed to get my showing jacket yet but plan to go shopping on friday :) on sunday i lent a friends hacking jacket and wore beige jods, black boots and cream gloves (i didn't like the gloves so much, they didn't look right) i felt as though i was more dressed for a days hunting TBH. I was going to go for a shires huntington coat in green check but looking back at sundays pics i didn't like the overall look on me, even though pictures i have seen with everyone else in it looked smart:( so with this in mind i am thinking of getting a smart navy blue jacket.
I have quite a big show coming up next Thursday and i am doing 2 dressage prelim classes and some SJ. If i go for the navy option would white jods look okay with white shirt and stock, black boots and a navy velvet riding hat - also can anyone recommend a nice pair of gloves in a suitable colour to wear?
I want to look smart and not out of place :) as i say its quite a biggy round here :)
Thanks: here is us in the tweed on sunday :D

Which jacket depends what showing class you will be doing. I would def not wear white jods for showing though, strictly sj only I think! For gloves I love reoekl (sp!), you can get them in all shades of brown/tan so you can find something that is just right.
This website is fab for letting you know what to wear for what. http://rehorses.com/
Good luck!

Thanks for that :) think i will be happier in darker gloves aswell , and i presume she wont look out of place in her white saddle cloth?

White saddle cloth is fab for dressage and sj, but for showing you would generally want nothing or a descreet brown numnah.

At this show its just dressage and SJ i am doing but theres a show in september which i am planning to do a riding horse class - for that i will be using a brown numnah and maybe a coloured browband :) if i get the navy jacket will this be okay for ridden classes? thanks

Sounds fab! For riding horse you can get a ribbon browband, a navy jacket will be correct for it too (though you could also wear tweed if you prefer).
If you are doing dressage at your next show then you will need pale gloves for that too (I feel a proper prat in mine, I look v stupid but rules are rules!!!)

I hate white gloves!! i feel like a magician :D will look for some off white ones i think and go for some darker ones for the jumping.
I have a pair of mountain horse gloves for everyday use, love them there really breathable and they have lasted me well. I always think gloves are worth investing in :D
