I commented earlier, but just incase you missed it ...
I inject cartrophen once a month, as horse as arthritis in hocks, neck, and possibly back. Wouldn't surprise me if elsewhere too, so injected into the joint is not an option or he would be a giant pin cushion. Back in September I was ready to retire him as just wasn't quite right/happy. (He was sound but I could tell he wasn't moving as well anymore and was tripping in front) so I started cartrophen.
I inject it myself, into his neck (but could do rump). Costs £80 a vial. So cheaper then the joint supplement he was on which didn't seem to douch
It has been a game changer. No more tripping, and currently moving the best he ever has.

I do this too as horse has arthritis all over that we have accidentally discovered. With 1 x bute a day. I did a loading of 1 x 15ml Cartrophen every 3 weeks and now do 1 x 10ml Cartrophen once a month. All into the neck. I can tell when he is at around the 3 week mark and usually bounces quie significantly a few days after the injection.

Mine has had arthritis in his hocks for a long time. He’s now 24, retired and EMS and Cushings so 24/7 turnout is not an option. He’s always been fine on half a danilon a day but recently his left hock has been playing up. He’s incredibly needle phobic so the cartrophen injections I’ve done on my other pony are not an option. Steroids are far too risky for him and he doesn’t have enough space for arthrimid. So not exactly a lot of options. He’s now on one tablet a day of equioxx and it’s made a huge difference. I walk him/‘lunge’ around the school or around the field track 4x a week to try and keep him moving and I’m sorting out some extra time in the lunge pen as well as the field. With a younger horse you have a lot more options, for my boy my concern is quality of life. When he isn’t comfortable on this higher dose, I will reassess.

I have just ordered the 4Cyte to give a try. I also rememeber i have some Boswellia that little old pony refused to eat, this one probably will too but may as well have a go!
He is already on some Devils Claw Liquid, not noticing any difference but its very early days.
Do you have any update on the 4cyte?
Sorry if I have missed it elsewhere.

ah no sorry I hadn't posted. I think it is helping yes. As I'm pretty sure I've mentioned above somewhere the horse is odd, I mean I don't think we just have stiff hocks going on!
So he still often looks much the same, However I do now notice that he loosens/ warms up after a while of walking and starts to walk out better. He also uses his hocks more, he was walking with almost straight hinds but now he is obviously flexing them better.
When it runs out I will definitely be getting another pack to keep going longer term with and hope for more improvement.
