Homemade Hay Steamer

Well after reading that several people have made their own hay steamers I rigged one up myself with a wall paper stripper and wheelie bin and am really pleased with it. Its much better for me than soaking hay, have put it on a timer so its all ready in the mornings and when I get home from work, if you have just 1 or 2 horses I would definately recommend it.

Yay! I have a home made one too, brilliant when it's too cold to soak, and so easy to do

. Can you get timers from a DIY shop? (Never looked for one, but sounds like it makes things simpler still

They sell timers at ikea for about 1.50. Really good idea to put it on a timer

That's going to be my Christmas present from my Dad, I have asked him to make me one but I have asked him to use a galvanized dustbin rather than a plastic one. Glad to hear it works well!
