My coach has recommended putting my horse on an oral hyaluronic acid supplement to help the joints as we are starting to proceed to bigger tracks and he is 19 so on the older side. My coach says I can make it by simply mixing hyaluronic acid with water (15g in 1900ml) however giving my horse something with the word "acid" in it without any approval makes me very nervous. Can any of you chemistry experts/ horsey experts tell me if this is at all safe? Side note I have tried hyaluronic acid injections however she tried to kick the vet several times so we think orally is the best way
