I really don't know what to do... I was in tears last night, as the thought of loosing her for good makes me feel sick (sad I know!)
A few years back, I lost a horse I really got on with due to his owner selling him, and I didn't have the money at the time. Now I have found "the one" I really don't know what to do!
YM wants 4k for her, with no tack/rugs etc... she has only just come back into work after being off for 6 wks due to her back, and then loosing her shoes. She has whiteline disease at the moment and has a funny rear fetlock - not a lameness, more of an unbalance, which is helped by good farriery.
My Instructor and close friend says I could make an offer, and get a vet in to look at back, feet and fetlock and advise if a) its all "repairable" issues, and b) what he thinks she is worth now, not when I have put the money and time into her to get her competition fit.
I am so confused. My heart says sell the car (which I was planning to do anyway) and get her - it'll be tough, but I'll manage some how! My head says get off my fluffy cloud and just tell YM you can't buy her. I really didn't think they would sell her, not now anyway!
I had my lesson on her last night (first time in a while) and my instructor said after seeing her with rider in the previous lesson, it shows just how much we click, and how much she uses her back when I do ride her!
In all honesty, I really think this is going to be goodbye
Anyone feeling generous???
