Hi all :)
A few months ago I started doing some digging into wiebe's past, as he was imported from Holland as a 3yo. This lead me to creating his family tree and I thought I would be nice to share some pics! However, I unfortunately lost the website I used for breeding tracing! If anyone knows a good one please leave a comment! I think it was something like sports horse breeding

Starting with the oldest: Wiebe's great great great great grandad- Furioso
https://www.google.com/search?site=...esertspringranch.com%2Fbloodlines.htm;340;255

And now some relations I just love :)

Wiebe's great grandad is Nimmerdor- Big Star's dad! :O
https://www.google.com/search?site=...tallions-online.net%2FNimmerdor.shtml;300;331

One of his grandads is Olympic Cocktail- Anky van Grunsven Horse!

As a showjumper, I was very happy at this one, Wiebe's other grandad is Kupido K, A horse who has won at CSI****! :O

And finally, his dad, Radar, an inter 1 dressage horse :) (would love to see pics of any other horses with theses relations!)

Free cookies for anyone who got this far! Would love to see your pics! :D

Some seriously gorgeous horses there! I've thought about tracing one of mine's breeding, but unfortunately there is no parentage info on his passport. I believe warmbloods usually have the same initial (of their name) as their parents? Or is it the stud?

I have loads on my facebook as I done a bit of digging a few months ago, here are a few of them - I apologise in advance for any massive or tiny, or absent photos, I'm rubbish at this!

My boy, El Khaishan 1998, he was junior champion and reserve champion (I think - don't kill me for forgetting if you are reading this Elaine!) as a youngster.

His sire, El Khartum. He is a multi champion, has won LOADS in his day, his owner (and Khaishans breeder) has an entire roomful of rosettes! Here he is nice and dirty and showing us all that his leg is on the mend!

This is as far back as I found, Saklawi, 1895, Great x7 Grandsire

This is Mammona, his great great dam on his mums side. She was ''irrefutably the best of the Polish mares'' and her name in Polish means 'treasure'. She walked the 1800 kilometers (about 1100 miles) from Janow Podlaski in Poland to Tersk Stud in Russia as a foal, at the side of her dam, during the second world war. She produced 18 Foals beginning in 1943 at age 4. Produced each year until her death in Jan. 1961 at age 22. All of her daughters were used at Tersk but one who was deceased (Manita).

She even has her own wiki page lol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Mammona_Arabian_mare.jpg

Nazeer, 1934. Great x 4 Grandsire and was Sire of the century

This is Abdullah, his grandsire. He was world champion stallion in 1981. He is on here somewhere http://www.eurocarauto.it/LINEA EGIZIANA RUSSA.htm

And Patron, 1966, who was Abdullahs sire, and three times dutch national champion sire.

p87 wowza they are all beauties! and what a great history to have! So interesting! :D

Thank you, don't know why they are showing as links though! Love your pics, how exciting to know one of his relatives was Ankys horse! You could try digging for info on the track and trace board on here, that's how I found out Khaishans breeding and was put in touch with his breeder :)

Thank you will do! :) I know his history from when he entered the country as from the age of 3 he had one owner! (hes now 10) Just interested in his earlier years in Holland as I have no idea about the breeder... :)

I find this sort of thing facinating :)

Wow, my Sec A's sire is Vervale Grenade who's sire is Knodishall Beaufort - who's sire is Pendock Legend!

It is fascinating, I've spent hours researching my horse's family tree's and love the lines I have in my Sec D 'Parc Roberto'.

Our ISH great X 5 grandsire was Man O' War and her great x 4 grandsire was War Admiral who raced against Seabiscuit.

Our old boy DJ who was TB X also had Man O' War and War Admiral lines so way way way way back our nags maybe related

no mention of Wiebe though BUT the KWPN may be able to help you trace his Holland history

Wow! How did you find/make the 1st link? This is really useful! Thank you so much! :D

Lovely photos, parc lady > parc welsh flyer and derwin Rosina's last are on either side of my mares lines too.

I loved looking at these beautiful horses, thanks. I enjoyed tracing my Sec A's breeding as far back as the 1880's. The bloodlines are so well documented it was easy. He has unadulterated Revel bloodlines and when I bought him I thrilled to recognise ponies I had seen pics of in Horse and Hound in the 1970's in his genealogy.

We also own an exquisitely beautiful mare who must have warmblood/Thoroughbrd lines. She has wonky front legs though so we aren't able to find a thing about her breeding.

for those who are interested, I used http://www.horsetelex.com to trace wiebe's breeding right back to the 1600's! His greatx20 grandsire is Godolphin Arabian! Godolphin Arabian, also known as Godolphin Barb, was an Arabian horse who was one of three stallions that were the founders of the modern Thoroughbred horse racing bloodstock! Its amazing what you can do online now a days... :D
