So very sorry for you,OP and your horse.
I understand that you are not able to make the decisions and that parents are responsible. However, you need to somehow break this cycle you seem to be in regarding his issues. My suggestions would be:

As has already been suggested, definitely ask your farrier if there are any signs of past laminitis and is he happy with the condition of your horses feet.

secondly, treat him as if he Has had laminitis until you know either way. There will be an mAutumn flush of grass shortly ( if not already) and he could do without a sugar rush. You seem to be pretty well doing this already although will need to watch his weight.

Finally, ask around to find a well recommended horse vet- farrier might be someone to ask, or people who you sense have ‘ got it right’, if you know what I mean, and talk to your parents pointing out how long this has been going on and that a second, and hopefully final, opinion with a good, full investigation, will answer your questions finally.
Try and admit to yourself, honestly, what are your real fears and worries. Write them down and see if things are any clearer.

Already done. He's always had a sore back due to hunting. At that point he didn't have ulcers. However he did develop them a few years later. But we're treated.

Hunting a horse does not equal a sore back .

I'm going to bow out here, as i believe you are young and do not wish to offend/upset - however none of this adds up to me.

That rider would not have sat on a horse with a bad back , never mind competed him at BD (as i said local rider to myself....)

Hes ok, as long as he's getting what he needs. Physio, half hads, massage etc. The problem is after her, he wasn't given what he needed.

But you just said something completely different above ?

Story doesn't add up at all.

I hope this isn't a real scenario really for the poor horses sake.

She's started another thread again!
I'm leaving as soon as I know about Hay, and if I cna double Hay nets. The forum is making him worse. At the moment I'm letting him get away with everything I.case he's in pain, and now it's spiralling out of control with his behaviour. Breaking things, rearing, biting etc. We was getting somewhere

He's not on atm no, becuase like I said, he had no treatment for 5 years, and also had an I'll fitting saddle after that as well. Once he's had the physio out some more, he should be back on track. The owner that competed at bd sold hi onto someone who didn't do physio, and then also competed him to high up, and payed the consequences of it by ending up in hospital from him multiple times.

So all his previous owners have brought him on to obviously a good level but this is what you’re working with? A horse who falls out on circles and corners and can’t keep himself in an outline?
He’s amazing under saddle, just unbalanced, and my instructer is helping with that. It's when he's in an outline he leans on you. And can fall in or out sometimes on circles and corners.

I’m going to bow out too. Your adamant it’s all behavioural so good luck to your horse.

Its not funny ok. Can I double up haynets or not? Im leaving after that OK. He's a happy boy, until someone doesn't listen to him. If you groom him gently, and massage him, and cuddle him we have learned he enjoys it. I'm getting natural brushes for him to help as well. And we don't use metal curry's or hard rubber ones. Sinse making changes he's improving. But I've taken a step back with less exercise, less food, more Hay, not grooming. Which has resulted in bad bahaviour, more stable vices, and getting fat, and a Hay belly.

Not true. I'm adamant that's he's dying, but all the professionals are just laughing, they have said to ignore h and h unless asking advice on behaviour or feeds, and rugs etc. They said talk to vets, physio, farrier etc. All have agreed he is OK. He only pins his ears when horses look at him, or people brush hi firmly and don't listen when he says stop. This has made a huge improvement for us.

Well she's the best in out Area, and she said she can feel it in his back. And we were also already aware that he had one. So she was right.
Is she ACPAT or NAVP registered? ....sounds a bit iffy to me!

So your problems are solved then, if he should be 'back on track' once he's had more physio.

I suggest you step away from the forum, its getting silly now

So Charlotte owned him in 2018

5 years of no treatment after her alongside an ill fitting saddle would take us to 2023 -

So thats this year he has put someone in hospital multiple times and competed him up to a high level.

Meaning you would have purchased a horse that was either severely doped - which a decent vet would pick up at your vetting is 5 -stage which i believe you said was the case ? or you went out and purchased a horse with issues (or your parents did) and now don't want to do anything to help it....

Doesnt add up

Well I think that confirms we're dealing with a troll.

I have a screenshot in case anyone wants the evidence after it's deleted.

Please don't report it on my behalf, i swear like the proverbial trooper, no offence taken.

As I said regards a previous thread, it comes over as two or three people sitting in a bedroom giggling around one phone. "Hey, lets say he's got...." Explains the inconsistencies of the story but also the spelling and grammar are inconsistent. The posts read as if they were written first , then some mistakes put in. For example would the same person say "we have voiced our concerns" but be unable to spell tomorrow?
