Wasting my time successfully....
Is it really that good? I use shavings with pellets underneath, and I take poo out by (gloved) hand.
When they haven't been scattered it's fine, but I have thought about one if these for the dispersed piles!

There will be generic hoses available in most garden/hardware stores.
I do find that it is more economic to buy the shorter 25' lengths as they are not designed for yard work and so far I haven't had one last me more than a year, replacing short lengths is cheaper than replacing an entire 75' hose.
I don't care about replacing them though, they are worth the money as far as I am concerned, they make life, in winter especially, so much easier, use it, drain it, gather it up and hang it somewhere out of the weather. I used to have 300' lengths, it was the work of moments to empty it, sling it over my arm and put it away in the furnace room ... imagine doing that with a conventional hosepipe.

My friend has a shavings fork that has a 'basket' built into it so you can jiggle it around and separate the poo without losing it. She doesn't know what it is called though

That's an aquamax fork, EQUIDAE. I have one, very good for wood pellets but I suspect it'd take a lot of shaking for wood shavings. I do my wood pellet bed first with the shavings fork as you get too much in the basket and then need to shake vigorously, but it's the business for getting the little bits of poo and hay from the bed.

So far, my experiment with using Avon's hair detangling spray on my horse's mane and tail is working very well. Smaller bottle but still works out a lot cheaper than horse ones.
Also used £1.50 cohesive bandages from Wilkinsons recently. Slightly narrower than horse equivalent, but still plenty long enough and at least 50p cheaper.

I have large ones for the cats and dogs, 75 gallon ones and 20l water buckets for the horses and smaller metal ones for the rabbits and guinea pigs.
Sadly I doubt that they are available in the UK as for some reason the horse ones (and if they were then so would the pet ones) aren't as far as I know, heaven knows why not! If the ampage didn't need converting then I'd ship the darn things over by the container load.
