Hi - I hope this is the right forum to post this in..

I wondered if anyone knows of a reliable company/person who does Pre-Purchase Horsebox inspections? I am looking to buy a lorry that is up in Carmarthenshire which ticks all the boxes, but I'm no expert and I think its always safe to get these things checked since it's be carrying precious cargo!

I've seen a few companies online but personal recommendations are always the most trustworthy!

Would hugely appreciate any recommendations. Many thanks.
 
Sorry dont know anyone but would stongly recommend gettting an inspection done, we brought a horsebox 2 years ago without an inspection and at its MOT it failed spectacularly and cost £1100 to remedy. Mechanic said the work was long term and the previous owner must have know about it.

Ouch, that's painful on the wallet, sorry. I am pretty much clueless with lorries, it's our first one, and I've heard a few bad stories like yours, so I worry people will take me for a ride if I don't get a professional to check it...
 
Hi All! We have literally just bought a horse box and had a thorough inspection before we bought it which threw up some issues that I would never have even thought about!

We used a gentleman called Brad Hope who travels Where ever the box is. He's based in Bicester in Oxon but we had our box from Yorkshire! I have to say he was absolutely brilliant! Would definitely use him again and recommend him highly! He owns a horse box hire company Bicester horsebox hire and has a website for that but doesn't advertise the inspections....just has loads through recommendations. His home number is 01869 277280.
